The origin of Fujiyama

Mount Fuji is located in Yamanashi ans Shizuoka prefectures ans can be seen from Tokyo and Yokohama by clear weather. Travelers on the Tokaido route( Tokyo -Kyoto - Osaka ) closely pass by Mount Fuji.

The origin of Fujiyama is the most famous mountain in Japan (Mount Fuji). Mount Fuji (Fuji San) is with 3776 meters the highest mountain in Japan. It is not suprising that this perfectly shaped volcano has been worshipped as a sacred mountain and experienced big popularity in literature, paintings, and other arts.
